Previous Session Review
The plan for yesterday evolved around Friday’s close, where buyers reclaimed H1 EMA9 to set up immediate continuation into the Asian open. We would look for immediate longs, then backtests to set up the push back to those weak highs. The alternative was an hourly higher low, then long to challenge the highs as quarter end typically sees window dressing or at least an absence of selling.
This materialised for solid points, leaving the US session exposed to a bag of chop, providing many solid scalp opportunities, with late day volatility setting up an easy long to take out last week’s high - but the majority of traders had of course long closed their screens… They do that, wear you out, then send it.
The system gave:
ES 49 points long;
NQ 189 points long.
